GLOBALG.A.P. Integrity Program, the first of its kind in food certification, works worldwide building confidence and trust.

It is based on different activities that are interconnected and include the explanation of the system and harmonization of criteria through different kind of Certification Body (CB) trainings; the administration of the CB approval; monitoring of CB performance through CB office and producers assessments; the protection of the GLOBALG.A.P. Brand; controlling the completeness and accuracy of Database information; and the investigation of complaints, including those related to residues in certified products.

Freda Molamphy, Technical and Compliance Manager at Spinneys Dubai LLC, has been elected to the Board of GLOBALG.A.P. She joins the organization’s highest governance level, where representatives of the four other retailers Walmart Group, Morrisons, REWE Group, and Ahold Delhaize have been re-confirmed by the voting of GLOBALG.A.P.'s retail membership.

In order to make it easier for consumers to buy sustainably cultivated flower and ornamental plants, GLOBALG.A.P. is expanding its online portal GGN.ORG. Certified producers are now given an ideal platform on which to present themselves and their way of working to consumers.

From 20 to 22 June, the animal welfare company PHARMAQ-ZOETIS hosted a private GLOBALG.A.P. Capacity Building & Farm Assurer Workshop on the GLOBALG.A.P. Livestock and Aquaculture certification system. All participants belonged to different animal welfare departments of PHARMAQ-ZOETIS and included representatives from the industry: aquaculture, pigs, dairy cattle, beef cattle, sheep, hens and poultry farming and processing.

For the first time, in 2017 the Freshcare Forum will combine with the GLOBALG.A.P. Australian TOUR Stop. The GLOBALG.A.P. TOUR takes place every year and is part of the campaign to engage leading stakeholders around the globe. The aim is to unite them behind the common purpose of creating private sector incentives for agricultural producers worldwide to adopt safe and sustainable agricultural practices.

It is located in California, USA and currently service clients throughout the Central Valley. They assist their clients in complying with 3rd party audit schemes such as GLOBALG.A.P.

This TOUR Stop: "GLOBALG.A.P.'s International Standard – a key factor of access to the global market of fruits and vegetables” was held in Tashkent on 13 July 2017.  It was organized by UzAgroExport Joint Stock Company in collaboration with UNDP’s “Aid for Trade in Central Asia” project and the GLOBALG.A.P. Secretariat.
