Capacity Building via Events
The GLOBALG.A.P Secretariat organises a series of events on all continents. They are targeted to different audiences and conducted in major languages.A main global conference is held annually as major networking event for all interested parties. Delegates receive important updates, learn from their peers about shared best practices in relevant areas and participate in multi-stakeholder consultation processes. During the 8th global conference in Bangkok in 2007 the worldwide significance of the standard was demonstrated by the re-branding to GLOBALG.A.P.
In between global conferences, GLOBALG.A.P facilitates and organises regional communication and networking events that focus on specific product and regional aspects. Workshops for certification bodies and “train the trainer” courses, both for public registration and company in-house, combined with a comprehensive online training course, are the cornerstones for the GLOBALG.A.P capacity building concept.
Approved trainers become eligible to conduct own “train the public” courses in their home competence and language.
