BOPP:
The BOPP Grower Standard has successfully finalized re-benchmarking and has
received recognition as a resembling scheme. It is a flowers and ornamentals standard for
certification of individual producers in the United Kingdom. The scheme owner British Ornamental
Plant Producers (BOPP) developed the certification scheme as a supplement to bridge the gap for
those producers who need recognition as equivalent.
BOPP is a specialist group of the Horticultural Trades Association (HTA). The scheme is
managed by a team of professionals with experience in the ornamental horticulture production and
retail sectors. The BOPP scheme was developed in the mid-1990s initially for the pot and bedding
plant industry to provide retailers with reassurance that their suppliers were meeting certain
criteria with respect to legal, environmental and quality requirements. Since then, the scheme has
developed to include hardy nursery stock, cut flowers and bulbs.
BOPP also manages two other standards that were not submitted for GLOBALG.A.P. Benchmarking:
the Ornamental Horticulture Packhouse Standard and the Growing Media Producers Standard.

ChileG.A.P.:
The Chilean checklist ChileG.A.P. Version 5.0 has been successfully re-benchmarked
against GLOBALG.A.P. IFA Version 5. The owner of the checklist is the Chilean association of fruit
exporters ASOEX (Asociación de Exportadores de Frutas de Chile A.G.). ASOEX was already founded in
1935 and currently has more than 350 members. More than 96 % of Chilean fruit exports are from
ASOEX member companies.
ChileG.A.P. is the sustainability program of the Chilean fruit exporting industry, developed
to enable local fruit and vegetable producers to comply better with good agricultural practices and
sustainability requirements of the international market.
