The Japanese ANA Group will serve GLOBALG.A.P. certified rice grown by students of Goshogawara Agricultural High School in its first class in-flight meals flying from Haneda/Narita International airport between December 2017 and February 2017.

A highly regarded international third-party certification is considered to be indispensable with respect to the globalization of agriculture. The high school has grown GLOBALG.A.P. certified apples since 2015, and expanded into rice production last year. As a part of their educational program, students perform the compliance documentation procedures, and contribute to training workers in keeping with the standard requirements. Achieving GLOBALG.A.P. certification is a noteworthy undertaking for any producer, and the Japanese students are to be commended for their leadership and initiative.

GLOBALG.A.P. is proud to be recognized as the Best Practice Standard for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. These Olympic Games are one of the world’s largest sporting events and their influence and importance is evident.
