Key Account Manager – South East Asia

Reporting to: Chief Marketing Officer

Location: Office in Bangkok

 

GLOBALG.A.P. is looking for a Key Account Manager (KAM) based in Thailand.

The Key Account Manager (m/f) will be responsible for developing the GLOBALG.A.P. network among the South Asian countries. He/she will be also responsible for increasing the revenues and market share of GLOBALG.A.P. in the region. One of the main goals is to promote the wide range of GLOBALG.A.P. solutions among new and existing customers, through effective relationship and account management.

The Key Account Manager will implement the company’s strategy at regional level, reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer based in Cologne, Germany.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Following the strategic plan for the region, he/she will meet international and local supermarkets, retailers and other food industry player in different countries to offer the GLOBALG.A.P. solutions.
  • Membership: to increase the number of members from the region.
  • Capacity building & trainings: to offer and promote our training solutions.
  • Farm Assurer Program: to promote and to attract new consultants to our network of Farm Assurers.
  • Detect business opportunities and satisfy the needs of the current base of clients.
  • Develop and improving the network of contacts in the region in order to meet their needs and strengthen relationships.
  • Analyze market and industry tendencies and report these trends to the CMO to evaluate and to decide new actions.
  • Create, implement and maintain action plans for each of the accounts assigned in order to take advantage of the opportunities and solve situations.
  • Important liaison between GLOBALG.A.P. relationships in the region and the GLOBALG.A.P. headquarters in Cologne, Germany.

Desired Skills and Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related areas. Master degree is preferred (MBA). If you have a technical food qualification, a MBA degree is a must.
  • 5-7 years of experience: FMCG Food, Food Service, Supermarkets, knowledge and experience.
  • Background in key accounts sales and experience in sales and/or marketing.
  • Ability to travel 60% of the time both domestic and internationally.
  • Languages: Thai Native speaker. English is necessary to communicate with the HQ in Germany. Other regional language(s) are beneficial.
  • A good personality and attitude: open-minded, honest, precise, team player.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office: Word, Powerpoint, and Excel).
  • Basic knowledge of sales budgeting process, marketing techniques, production and distribution processes.

Conditions:

  • Salary according with the experience.
  • Full-time position.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours is required.
  • 60% Travel (domestic & international).
