The Shanghai Normal University (SHNU) is a comprehensive university covering disciplines of liberal arts, social sciences, and engineering as well as teacher training. Recent years have seen a rapid growth of the academic performance of the university, as the SHNU successfully continues on its path of internationalization, which includes support from GLOBALG.A.P.  “We appreciate the support from GLOBALG.A.P. to the Young Professional Program training in our university. GLOBALG.A.P. provided training materials and online resources to the students and good cases to the teachers for the understanding of this international leading food safety management system. The university has a cooperation with GLOBALG.A.P. as a food safety education resource as well as for student training.” says Assistant Professor Zhao Yu of Shanghai Normal University.

Founded in 1954, the SHNU consists of 17 colleges, 134 research institutes, and 86 undergraduate programs in 11 academic disciplines and has been dedicated to pursuing academic excellence since its establishment 60 years ago.

The SHNU has pursued the vision of higher education internationalization and by September 2014 established links with 296 educational institutions and organizations in 38 countries and regions such as the US, the UK, Hong Kong SAR, Taiwan and Macao SAR. Approved by the Ministry of Education, 12 joint programs have been established with partners in the US, the UK, and France.
