Global Open Data for Agriculture and Nutrition (GODAN) supports the proactive sharing of open data to make information about agriculture and nutrition available, accessible, and usable to support the call for world-wide food security. The group is rapidly growing,  with over 585 partners from national governments, non-governmental organizations, and private sector organizations that have all committed to a unified Statement of Purpose. The initiative focuses on building high-level support among governments, policymakers, international organizations, and businesses. GODAN promotes collaboration to harness the growing volume of data generated by new technologies in order to solve long-standing problems and to benefit farmers as well as the health of consumers.
