The Red Tractor Assurance for Farms Fresh Produce Scheme (RT Fresh Produce) Add-on is now approved. RT Fresh Produce is the first GLOBALG.A.P. resembling standard to develop an add-on that gives their certified producers the possibility of achieving GLOBALG.A.P. equivalent recognition.

In April 2014, the Red Tractor Assurance for Farms Fresh Produce Scheme (RT Fresh Produce), operating in the United Kingdom, was officially recognized as a resembling scheme to the GLOBALG.A.P. IFA Standard Version 4 for Fruit & Vegetables. The recognition of this scheme, which is owned by Assured Food Standards, came into effect on 21 March 2014. The fruit and vegetable standard offers certification only to individual producers.

Assured Food Standards was established in the spring of 2000, and Red Tractor Assurance was launched in the summer of the same year. It is the UK's leading farm and quality food assurance scheme, and the first scheme ever to be benchmarked against GLOBALG.A.P. A not-for-profit, limited company set up by the UK food industry, its logo, which signifies farm to pack assurance, is used by major UK retailers, many branded manufacturers and food service operators.
