Application Rules

A public call for participation was open from 12 October 2015 until 6 November 2015 (23:59 CET).

Election procedures were managed by KPMG in the period from 16 November to 4 December 2015.
Elected members are informed about the outcome of the elections.

1. Applications need to be accompanied by letters of support from at least two GLOBALG.A.P. members of their peer group.

2. Each producer/trader applicant chooses one of the regions and demonstrates that choice with evidence.

Where there is more than one producer/trader application per region, elections will take place and producer members will elect the Technical Committee member for the countries of the grower base they represent.

3. Each retailer/food service applicant must identify the consumer and sourcing markets in his/her application. Regional proportion is not mandatory, but the GLOBALG.A.P. Secretariat will ensure that there is representation of different markets.

Where there are more applicants than dedicated seats reflecting regional distribution, elections will take place and retailer/food service members will elect the Technical Committee member for the countries of the grower base they represent.

4. All nominations and references will be published on the GLOBALG.A.P. website.

Introducing GRIP (GLOBALG.A.P. Rewards for Industry Program)

A customized reward program

The GLOBALG.A.P. Secretariat has been looking at a new and innovative way of rewarding our stakeholders for their contribution to the improvement and sustainability of GLOBALG.A.P.

The GLOBALG.A.P. Rewards for Industry Program (GRIP) recognizes the contribution of stakeholders in two-fold; firstly with Status Points where individuals and their companies are rewarded for their time contribution and secondly, with redeemable Rewards Points.
