GLOBALG.A.P. Community Newsletter Logo

Dear Colleague,

Greetings from Chicago, where we just held our second TOUR 2015 event in collaboration with the United Fresh Produce Association. Both the event in Chicago and the kick-off TOUR event that took place earlier this month in Almeria, Spain, were very well attended. Read more here.

We received a lot of support from our stakeholders in both the Spanish market–our oldest–and our youngest market in the US. Both were excellent opportunities to present our new Version 5 of the GLOBALG.A.P. Integrated Farm Assurance Standard (IFA V5), which our Board has adopted this month. The Standard update follows our four-year routine cycle of continuous improvement. Many of these improvements are based on the results of investigations we had conducted as part of our Certification Integrity Program CIPRO and Residue Monitoring Program.

With respect to stakeholder involvement and impact, IFA V5 has been the most comprehensive amendment to date, with more than 1,500 comments received and more than 110 organizations actively involved contributing 2,600 expert hours in meetings and webinars. IFA V5 will have a direct and significant effect on all 150,000 producers around the world certified under GLOBALG.A.P.

Visit our website to find the upcoming IFA V5 training opportunities near you and read the official press release here.

While the livestock revision process is still under way, we are proud to announce that IKB Nederlands Varkens in The Netherlands has successfully been benchmarked to GLOBALG.A.P.

And here’s a list of further developments in our global community:
We hope to see you during the rest of this year at one of our upcoming TOUR 2015 stops. Read below the latest TOUR 2015 news and updates and be sure to visit to find the next one happening near you.

Best regards,
Kristian Moeller
