GLOBALG.A.P. is proud to announce the new Crops for Processing Standard (CfP). This is a standard similar to GLOBALG.A.P.'s long-established Integrated Farm Assurance Standard (IFA), but it will apply to crops that are grown to be used for further processing, as opposed to crops that will be sold whole and fresh.

Public Consultation is now open for the GLOBALG.A.P. Hops Module
GLOBALG.A.P. Standard News

Hops are grown in the United States, Germany, and many other countries around the world for use as a flavoring and stability agent in beer.

Hop production has been assessed over the past three years under GLOBALG.A.P. IFA Combinable Crops Sub-Scope. However, a Sub-Scope specific to hops is needed by the industry to cover the unique process that takes place on farm.

GLOBALG.A.P. Aquaculture Applies for GSSI Recognition
GLOBALG.A.P. Aquaculture News

The development of the GLOBALG.A.P. Aquaculture Standard is based on the FAO Technical Guidelines on Aquaculture Certification. This means that the four pillars of the guidelines (food safety, environment, animal welfare, social practices) have continuously been covered. Food safety is a core requirement and the GLOBALG.A.P. Aquaculture Standard is currently the only aquaculture certification program at farm level that is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).

Salmon-Safe Joins with GLOBALG.A.P to Incorporate 'Overlay' Guidelines to Further Protect Water and Wildlife

Salmon-Safe, a leading U.S. regional eco-label for water quality protection and wildlife habitat restoration, has completed an 18-month development process of aligning its certification guidelines with the GLOBALG.A.P. Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) Version 5 Crops Standard. The new Salmon-Safe overlay will enable a more efficient audit process for farmers seeking both certifications.

14th GLOBALG.A.P. Fruit and Vegetables National Technical Working Group (NTWG) Meeting in Mexico City

The meeting was the first of its kind in 2017 and attended by more than 22 people representing 19 of the most important organizations in the Mexican agricultural sector including APEAM (avocados), EMEX (mangos), Driscoll's (berries), Grupo U (vegetables), Sun Belle (vegetables), and a number of certification bodies.
