In May 2020, GLOBALG.A.P. launched a remote auditing option (GLOBALG.A.P. Remote) in response to the coronavirus pandemic. As previously communicated, the GLOBALG.A.P. Remote procedure is a work in progress and will receive regular updates as appropriate.

The first update has now been finalized and published and went into effect 5 June 2020: Version 1.1 can be found here.

Version 1.1 includes the following changes:

  • Minor wording changes for improved clarity.
  • More robust requirements for producer classification and the timing of follow-up on-site inspections.
  • A dedicated GRASP Remote assessment guideline checklist as an annex to the procedure. The guideline consists of the regular GRASP control points and specific instructions and validation methods for conducting a GRASP remote assessment.

We want to thank all parties that gave us feedback to improve the guidelines. We remain open to additional feedback and will continue to update GLOBALG.A.P. Remote as necessary. GLOBALG.A.P. is committed to guaranteeing stakeholders’ expected level of performance.
