HelloFresh’s recent membership of GLOBALG.A.P. is driven by our joint values on food safety and sustainable supply chains. The company’s commitment to our core values is reflected by the recent decision to become a GLOBALG.A.P. member. Rooted in the belief that everyone deserves honest, natural, delicious, healthy food, HelloFresh is the world’s leading meal kit company and operates in the U.S., the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Australia, Austria, Switzerland, Canada, and New Zealand.

First meal kits personally delivered to friends and family

HelloFresh was founded in Berlin in November 2011. Back then, the first meal kits were personally delivered to friends and family by the company’s founders, Dominik and Thomas. In November 2017 HelloFresh went public on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. In the year of 2018, HelloFresh delivered almost 200 million meals worldwide, generating over €1.2 billion in revenue. The company has more than 4,000 employees today.

HelloFresh delivers meal kits with recipes and fresh ingredients directly to the customer’s doorstep, thanks to a very strong and globally scalable supply chain. The meal plans are easily adjustable to fit any schedule, dietary preferences, and household size using the website or app. To make this work, HelloFresh works with many producers. This is where GLOBALG.A.P. certification comes in, providing an invaluable tool in ensuring sustainability, and – most importantly – food safety.

Operating to the highest food safety standards

“It’s great to partner with an organisation that allows our suppliers to demonstrate that they’r e operating to the highest food safety standards through GLOBALG.A.P., while also supporting HelloFresh’s ongoing sustainability work in the areas of responsible ingredient sourcing and welfare within our supply chain,” said Adam Best, International Director Food Safety & Quality Assurance at HelloFresh.
