Confirmed Speakers/Panelists and Their Sessions

Kenneth Kyaw Shein, CEO of Prime Agri Group, Myanmar’s first GLOBALG.A.P. Group Certified operation, will present the potential of Myanmar’s nascent agriculture and food sector and the importance of a responsibly-sourced and food-safety certified supply chain for the development of domestic and export markets.

Dymfke Kuijpers, Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company in Amsterdam, shares results and conclusions from their recent consumer study in the first plenary session at the GLOBALG.A.P. SUMMIT in Lima. McKinsey & Company surveyed 30,000+ consumers on 3 continents on Fresh quality (Europe, US and China). All actors along Fresh supply chains have to respond to often dissatisfied consumers with retailers’ F&V quality. Dymfke suggests 5 key choices businesses have to make when shaping Fresh in a disruptive ecosystem.

Technical Committee Fruit and Vegetables, and an expert in produce hygiene, Ricardo will share his experience of training professional growers to meet the new produce rules and adopt the new GLOBALG.A.P. FSMA PSR add-on in Latin America,

Young Academics Program – Call for Applications

The competition invites young researchers to submit original and relevant research pieces on subjects related to Good Agricultural Practices for presentation in the form of a poster at the SUMMIT 2018.
