GRASP, the GLOBALG.A.P. Risk Assessment on Social Practice, is an assessment module, consisting of a definite number of control points and compliance criteria for individual producers and producer groups, plus one additional control point for producer groups.

GRASP is applied to assess social practice in primary production worldwide in combination with a GLOBALG.A.P. primary production or equivalent benchmarked scheme/AMC certificate. It focuses on the review of basic indicators of potential social risks on farms.

The main aim of GRASP is to help farmers to address important social issues and build awareness at farm level, further on to deliver basic indicators on the performance of the farms in terms of implemented procedures to comply with national/international regulations on labor issues. The level of compliance requires an analysis on a case-by-case basis
