QR Codes

A QR Code is a way to link information to a tiny scannable icon on the package. It is usually black and white.
You can use a QR code to provide a link to your GGN in the GLOBALG.A.P. database as well as other information.

The embedded QR code may contain the following information according to our General Regulations:

  1. The GGN of the producer or company that labels the product.
  2. A URL of the GGN validation website that is linked to the GLOBALG.A.P. database. You can find an example here. (4059883961102)
  3. The URL of the GLOBALG.A.P. database.
  4. The batch number of the product.
  5. A link to the producer’s website.
  6. Combinations of the above.

Free online programs can be used to create a QR code. GLOBALG.A.P. does not offer its own app or further designs. A wide variety of online applications including various free services are available.

The GLOBALG.A.P. logo is a different topic. It will be provided by your certification body on request, along with the rules for its usage.
