Denmark-based compound feed manufacturer Aller Aqua has achieved GLOBALG.A.P. Certification for all its production facilities in Europe. The company, which exports to more than 50 countries worldwide, now complies with the GLOBALG.A.P. In a statement issued in a press release, the company stated the benefits of GLOBALG.A.P. Certification for its business: “Aller Aqua’s GLOBALG.A.P. Certificate shows our customers that we consider sustainability and welfare for animals and humans in every step of the production process in order to produce our high quality feeds."
Aller Aqua is a family-owned company and one of the world’s most experienced
producers and distributors of fish feed for freshwater and saltwater species. With more than 50
years of experience in the sector, Aller Aqua offers a broad and professional product range for
more than 25 species of fish, including rainbow trout, seabass, seabream, carp, tilapia, pike
perch, catfish, cod, turbot, barramundi, rockfish, salmon, and sturgeon.
All their fish feed products are produced by means of extrusion. The fish feed must cover
the basic metabolism of the fish and ensure healthy growth. Aller Aqua fish feeds meet all the
requirements for nutrients, vitamins and minerals and have been adapted to various sizes of fish
and feeding strategies. Their feed products have been developed in cooperation with customers and
undergo continuous tests in selected test stations and fish farms. Laboratory trials are mostly
conducted in the company’s trial station at Aller Aqua Research in Germany. The close collaboration
with customers is also the reason why Aller Aqua has become a leading pioneer in the development of
new feed types for new species.
