GLOBALG.A.P. is a private-sector, international organization that develops and implements voluntary standards for the certification of agricultural production processes worldwide. In order to ensure maximum transparency, GLOBALG.A.P. operates a web application in which the certification of each participating producer is displayed. This web application is individually developed and constantly adapted to new market requirements. The business language at GLOBALG.A.P. is English and the company is based in Cologne, Germany.


The successful candidate will support our IT Services department by

  • actively supporting the international team in all relevant IT problems within the framework of the IT helpdesk (in-house and worldwide),
  • conceptually accompanying the path from isolated IT solutions to an integrated IT landscape and successfully rolling out these solutions,
  • performing the typical front- and backend tasks of a system administrator for the applications used by us,
  • creating and maintaining internal how-tos,
  • significantly increasing the level of in-house IT services with your IT know-how,
  • supporting our IT team across the board, with a focus on support and administration.


The successful candidate should be interested in agricultural processes and          

  • have successfully completed a degree in computer science or comparable training (IT specialist, IT systems electronics technician, etc.), and have ideally already gained professional experience,
  • be characterized by a good conceptual and analytical understanding as well as a strong capacity for abstraction,
  • enjoy supporting employees in IT issues and demonstrate a high level of customer and service orientation,
  • have profound knowledge of Microsoft Business Solutions, Contao, Linux and AWS or be able to familiarize himself/herself quickly with these topics,
  • have the desire to actively impart knowledge instead of making himself/herself indispensable as an expert
  • be able to evaluate a variety of tasks with regard to their priority and to work independently according to set priorities,
  • have no reservations about English and German as a business language.
