Over 100 people from 40 different nations support our network worldwide and helping to reach the common goals.

We are looking for a Key Account Manager (KAM). You will be responsible for developing the GLOBALG.A.P. network in the region. You will also be responsible for increasing revenues and market share of GLOBALG.A.P. in the region. One of the main goals is to promote the wide range of GLOBALG.A.P. solutions among new and existing customers through effective relationship and account management.

You will implement the company’s strategy at a regional level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet international and local supermarkets, retailers, and other food industry players in different countries to introduce GLOBALG.A.P. solutions in accordance with the strategic plan for the region.
  • Increase the number of members in the region.
  • Offer and promote our training solutions.
  • Promote and attract new consultants to our network of farm assurers.
  • Detect business opportunities and satisfy the needs of the current client base.
  • Develop and improve the network of contacts in the region in order to meet their needs and strengthen relationships.
  • Analyze market and industry tendencies and report these trends to the Team Leader to evaluate and decide upon new actions.
  • Create, implement, and maintain action plans for each one of the accounts assigned in order to take advantage of opportunities and to solve issues.
  • Act as an important liaison between GLOBALG.A.P. in the region and the GLOBALG.A.P. head office in Cologne, Germany.

Job Specifications:

1. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in business or related areas.
  • Background in key accounts and experience in sales and/or marketing in the food or agricultural business.

2. Skills

  • Languages: Please see list with languages required for each country/region. Good knowledge of English is essential to communicate within the worldwide net-work. Other regional language beneficial.
  • A good personality and attitude: open-minded, honest, precise, team player.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Basic knowledge of sales budgeting, marketing techniques, production, and distribution processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with growers, the public sector, and others in the agricultural and food industry.
  • Driven to achieve the highest quality in daily work and constantly improve customer satisfaction.
  • High level organizational skills (Ability to plan, schedule and arrange own activities).
  • Demonstrates proactivity and takes the initiative.
  • Strong problem solving & multi-tasking skills and attention to detail.
  • Team player and excellent communications skills (both written and verbal).

3. Experience

  •  At least 5 years of professional experience in the agricultural or food industry.

4. Other Requirements

  • High flexibility to travel extensively.
