Type of job: Full-time, 39 hours/week

Reports to: Chief Standards Officer


Your Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop the Integrated Farm Assurance Flower and Ornamentals standard (which includes revision of the current version), in line with the other sub-scopes
  • Facilitate the Floriculture Technical Committee (to be established)
  • Offer GLOBALG.A.P. Public and/or Certification Body Training on the subject
  • Collaborate closely with GLOBALG.A.P.’s Marketing Team, in particular to support the development of the GGN Consumer Label Flowers & Ornamentals
  • Follow technical discussions on production of flowers and ornamentals to ensure that the standard covers latest technologies and trends
  • Engage actively with international floriculture stakeholder organizations
  • Participate in relevant trade shows, conferences, etc.

Job Specifications

1. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or Floriculture, Master’s degree preferred
  • Fluent in English (business language)
  • Working knowledge of German, Dutch or Spanish

2. Skills

  • Excellent team player
  • Good communication skills with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Competent handling of MS Office (Word, Excel and Power Point)

3. Experience

  • 5-7 years of technical work experience in the field of floriculture
  • Standard development
  • Work in a multi-stakeholder environment
  • Good understanding of key sustainability issues affecting floriculture

4. Requirements

  • Ability to travel 40% of the time, both domestically and internationally
  • Residence and work permit for Germany
  • Driving license
