About the GLOBALG.A.P. Farm Assurer Program

What is a Farm Assurer?

A Farm Assurer is an independent, GLOBALG.A.P. trained and approved consultant who provide expertise to help producers implement Good Agricultural Practices. With first-hand knowledge about the GLOBALG.A.P. System and the latest industry developments, the Farm Assurer makes the standard easier to understand and helps simplify audit preparations.

What is a Farm Assurer Manager?

What benefit do I get as a Farm Assurer?

Exclusive benefits for Farm Assurers include our monthly webinars, an online Farm Assurer community, a merchandise program, and support to host one-day informational workshops for producers. We actively promote Farm Assurers on our website and in person at meetings. All Farm Assurers also receive an ID card and certificate.

Yes, to become a GLOBALG.A.P. Licensed Farm Assurer you have to fulfill all the mandatory requirements.

If my formal education doesn't fulfill the requirements to become a Farm Assurer, what can I do?

Fill out the forms with as much relevant information as possible. Maybe your formal education doesn't cover the requirements, but you may have attended workshops or trainings that do.

GLOBALG.A.P. Members don't receive a discount since the GLOBALG.A.P. Licensed Farm Assurer program is part of the GLOBALG.A.P. Membership benefits.

Can a person be a Farm Assurer and a Certification Body Auditor at the same time?

Yes but there are rules to follow:

1.    As a Farm Assurer, the person must work with a different company than the Certification Body. A CB cannot be a Farm Assurer company.

2.    A CB cannot audit a producer they have also consulted (ISO 17065 accreditation prohibits CBs from consultation and auditing of same farm).

This is to ensure integrity and that there are no conflicts of interest.
