Integrity Surveillance Committee Integrity Surveillance Committee

Integrity Surveillance Committee (ISC)

Operating since 2009, the Integrity Surveillance Committee (ISC) is an independent body that makes the final decision on a certification body’s approval status.

The ISC plays a key role in the GLOBALG.A.P. Certification Integrity Program (CIPRO), which monitors and evaluates the performance of the GLOBALG.A.P.  approved certification bodies (CB). GLOBALG.A.P. CIPRO auditors conduct integrity assessments to inspect CBs and ensure they are operating according to the General Regulations and Control Points and Compliance Criteria. Any deviations found are then forwarded to the ISC. In its role as an independent jury, it reviews cases on an anonymous basis, defines corrective measures and proposes sanctions, which the GLOBALG.A.P. Secretariat then enforces.

Made up of industry experts with a local legal background, ISC members are appointed by the Board, but work independently and meet at least 3 times a year.
