Member Type | Retailer | Advisory Board Term | July 2023 - June 2027 |
Malene's Statement
I apply for a seat in the GLOBALG.A.P. Advisory Board in order bring a Danish retailer's perspectives to the table. The IFA standard and the add-on assessment GRASP are important tools in our daily operations when following up on producers and their level of compliance. I see a great opportunity, when being part of the board, to discuss the effectiveness of present standards, assessments, frameworks and potential development subjects. It is essential for us to challenge applied standards with the end-goal to optimize and adapt according to among other things legislation and stakeholder expectations.
Professional & Educational Background
I have a Master in Marketing.
After finished education I started working in Salling Group, and I have now been there for
over 10 years dealing primarily with social compliance and due diligence within our supply chains.
Core subjects hereunder are human and labour rights upstream our supply chains.
My tasks concern among other things risk assessment, policy making and implementation,
building due diligence setups and related procedures, participation in membership alliances and
task forces (amfori, Ethical Trading Denmark etc.). Via my position in Salling Group I am very much
engaged in different networking groups in order to gather different perspectives, and brainstorm on
how to tackle complicated challenges.
