Call for participation Systems & Rules Technical Committee

Open for applications from: 15 August 2019 – 15 September 2019 (23:59 CET)

The GLOBALG.A.P. Committees are in general responsible for developing, defining and maintaining the standard criteria, called Control Points and Compliance Criteria. They also define the cornerstone of the rules, called GLOBALG.A.P. General Regulations, which establish clear criteria for the successful implementation and verification of the standards.

GLOBALG.A.P. is seeking GLOBALG.A.P. stakeholders to participate in the Systems & Rules (S&R) Technical Committee. The call for participation is now open.

The TC Systems & Rules has a clear mandate to review, analyze and maintain the standard General Regulations for GLOBALG.A.P. IFA Version 6.

The GLOBALG.A.P. Board agreed that the Systems and Rules TC will play one of the most important roles in the revision of the standard. Thus, it was decided to enlarge this Committee to get the strong expertise, valuable discussions and the full commitment to make the necessary changes and to bring the standard forward. Committee members serve until 2021.

Number of Positions of the Systems & Rules TC:

  • 5 retail/food service members and 5 producer/trader members and 3 certification body members

The committees supported and guided by the GLOBALG.A.P. Secretariat will work mostly independently from the Board and be responsible for technical decisions. However, the Board needs to finally adopt any normative documents developed, revised, and/or recommended by the committees.

Frequency of meetings and commitment:
Applicants must be involved in at least 2 meetings per year. Some conference calls may also take place between meetings.

 First face-to-face meeting scheduled:

Applications will be assessed and accepted by the Secretariat against the following criteria:
