GLOBALG.A.P. has now launched Audit Online; the new inspection reporting system for certification bodies. The use of Audit Online will be mandatory from November 13th onwards. Certification bodies (CBs) will use it to store audit data from producer inspections, including control points (CPs) and audit reports.

See below for an outline of the challenges created by the new system, and how an external interface – chosen by certification bodies from a range of providers – can simplify data entry work and help avoid errors.

New challenges for certification bodies using the GLOBALG.A.P. Audit Online system

  1. Repeated data entry into internal databanks and the two GLOBALG.A.P. systems
  2. Harder to maintain current versions of checklists for auditors
  3. No offline auditing available
  4. Keeping data up to date, including:  Producer Master Data  - Product Data  - Audit Data  … and more

How can an interface help?

GLOBALG.A.P. is currently partnered with three companies (providers) offering interfaces to make data management easier for certification bodies. Here is how they can help:

  1. Interface (API) between the provider’s platform and the two GLOBALG.A.P. systems or a connection to Audit Online – your certification bodies do the auditing, the platform’s provider does the maintenance
  2. Get up-to-date data directly from the GLOBALG.A.P. systems – new certification program requirements are implemented upon release
  3. Use offline auditing capability using the provider’s mobile app

When will the interface platforms be ready to use?

The platforms will be ready to use as soon as they are officially launched as “GLOBALG.A.P. Approved software providers for Audit Online” systems. This will include their API for easy and secure data upload directly into the GLOBALG.A.P. systems

Three providers  now partnering with GLOBALG.A.P.:

The first audit technology approved partner to submit IFA results via the GLOBALG.A.P. API in accordance with new 2020 audit submission requirements.

QLBS has spent the last 15 years developing the universal cloud platform Quantum Leap for auditors and auditing teams. The platform provides on-line/off line, onsite/offsite, multi-scheme solutions designed to reduce cost and complexity of a total audit plan. Its data capture, reporting, benchmarking and dashboards provide visibility and understanding that adds value to auditor clients.

Multi scheme audits can be conducted where “questions are asked once and evidence is provided once” with inputs flowing to other schemes that are asking the same questions. Reporting can be automated and assessment data and evidence can flow to stakeholders. QLBS integrated Quantum Leap with the GLOBALG.A.P. Audit Online platform to enable seamless reporting.

The auditor platform is customizable to specific needs and can be easily integrated with your CRM and administrative platforms.

Andras Fekete, VP and Chief Integrity Officer of GLOBALG.A.P.
“GLOBALG.A.P. has been looking for solution providers to help certification bodies complete inspections and audits more easily and with reduced complexity and cost to the producer. QLBS has been using smart cloud technology to support the industry in New Zealand. We are working with QLBS to provide a seamless flow of assessment data – from the farmer, through the inspector or auditor, to us – in order to make life easier for everyone."

Keith Phillips, CEO of QLBS
“We recognize that a world demanding food safety and integrity is requiring more complex compliance regimes and greater assurance of supply. We seek to simplify, reduce cost and improve understanding of certification, so that there is greater confidence and trust in food and more producers can participate in supplying the growing demand for food. Our mission is to make the audit as efficient and easy as possible for the auditor and farmer while providing a quantum leap in value and quality.”

Jochen Baumgarten, VP and CTO of GLOBALG.A.P.
“We are pleased to support QLBS in offering an independent way for GLOBALG.A.P. approved certification bodies to meet our requirements for audit and inspection data reporting. With QuantumLeap Pro, certification bodies have the opportunity of getting an inspection and audit management tool that can be customized to their individual needs and is intended to connect seamlessly with the GLOBALG.A.P. Audit Online system to avoid double entry work. With the use of QuantumLeap Pro, certification bodies can also choose to digitalize their business processes across schemes within their portfolio, to avoid having different procedures for each process."
