Background information and objective
Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) for combinable crops is a global standard that addresses the unique farm-level needs of combinable crop producers.
The standard covers all stages of production and is built on a holistic approach that covers the key topics of food safety, environmental sustainability, workers’ well-being, production processes, and traceability.
The version 6 update follows the other product categories of the IFA plants scope which were published in September 2022, and marks the transition to a smarter, streamlined, and outcome-oriented combinable crops standard. It is scheduled for launch in Q2 2024.
Public consultation for IFA v6 for combinable crops has been completed.
The standard will now be reviewed and finalized by the technical committees, and then recommended to the GLOBALG.A.P. Advisory Board for adoption in Q4 2023.
