GLOBALG.A.P. Webinar Series: A guide to IFA v6 transition – Flowers and ornamentals

The flagship GLOBALG.A.P. Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) version 6 standard replaced version 5.2 on 1 January 2024. To support global stakeholders in the transition to the new version of IFA for flowers and ornamentals, we are introducing a third free webinar series to help guide you through the adoption of the new standard. Building on last years’ webinars, this new series has been designed to provide a comprehensive guide to the principles and criteria for flowers and ornamentals, as well as insights on the implementation and audit process.

  • Fee: Free

  • Duration: 60 minutes

  • Date: 14 May 2024

  • Time: 15:00 pm (Berlin, UTC +2)

  • Language: English

  • Instructor: Juan Carlos Isaza (Senior Technical Expert Floriculture)

Juan Carlos is the senior expert and master trainer for the GLOBALG.A.P. flowers and ornamentals product category. He joined FoodPLUS GmbH in 2019, focusing on all aspects related to the IFA for flowers and ornamentals standard and the add-on/stand-alone module on environmental metrics – the Impact-Driven Approach to Sustainability (IDA) for plants. Juan Carlos also facilitates the Flowers and Ornamentals Focus Group, supporting and collaborating with producers, certification bodies, and Registered Trainers on relevant topics. With a background in microbiology and a Masters degree in Environmental Management, Juan Carlos has more than two decades of experience working in sustainability and floriculture.

Why you should attend:

The webinar will last 60 minutes and is packed with practical information and valuable insights specifically tailored to the flowers and ornamentals sector. We want to ensure that you have the chance to personally interact with our experts – that's why this webinar includes a dedicated Q&A session, allowing you to ask questions and seek clarifications directly from those who worked on developing the standard.
