From 23 April to 25 April 2024, GLOBALG.A.P. and GGN label representatives will once again be on-site at Seafood Expo Global, the annual Barcelona trade fair that is a key event in the calendars of all seafood stakeholders.

You can meet the experts at our booth (2K701) in hall 2 for the duration of the trade fair, but don’t miss our highlight event taking place on 23 April: an engaging and informative panel discussion including representatives from across the value chain.

Panel discussion to highlight key issues in aquaculture supply chains

The panel discussion, taking place at 2 p.m. on 23 April, will focus on the topic of responsible aquaculture supply chains – specifically the challenge of “Addressing evolving transparency requirements from farm to consumer”.

Panelists from both the producer and supplier sectors, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), a prominent NGO, as well as a GLOBALG.A.P. representative will come together to explore the crucial topic of supply chain legislation in Europe, the EU, and beyond, as well as the role of certification in supporting responsible farming practices.

"We are excited to host another panel discussion, this year going into more detail on the demands on the supply chain" says Remko Oosterveld, Key Account Manager at GLOBALG.A.P. "It is vital to work with all stakeholders together to tackle both current and future challenges in our supply chains and I believe the GLOBALG.A.P. certification program has a pivotal role to play in addressing these.”

Moderated by Marco Frederiksen, Director of Eurofish, the event will showcase the cross-sector perspectives of industry experts from the entire aquaculture value chain and is expected to draw a diverse audience.
