Ambitious environmental goals  

Aside from targeting sustainability via their robust portfolio of holistic solutions, UPL Ltd also uses a series of global initiatives to bring into focus potential opportunities within the agriculture sector. The Gigaton Carbon Goal, initiated by UPL, represents an ambitious commitment to foster sustainable agricultural practices by aiming to sequester one billion metric tons of atmospheric carbon dioxide in farmland soils by the year 2040.  

A pilot phase is already underway in Europe, the Americas, and Asia, covering 230,000 hectares in collaboration with more than 100,000 farmers. Through the initiative, UPL Ltd aims to make a positive impact on the environment, helping progress towards wider net zero targets while also supporting farmers’ incomes through carbon credits and celebrating their resilience.
