Introducing the Changemaker Awards 

Gain recognition for outstanding contributions to positive change in the world of farming!

The inaugural Changemaker Award is centered on those who have made a significant contribution to society through their innovative practices and forward-thinking concepts. The award program recognizes achievements in: 

• Championing responsible farming practices 

• Reducing environmental impact 

• Implementing smart approaches to resource efficiency 

• Improving the well-being of communities and supply chain stakeholders 

• …And more! 

Submissions will be divided into three categories, each with one winner: producers, certification bodies, and retailers.

Shortlisted nominees and winners

Shortlisted nominees – selected by an expert panel of leaders from FoodPLUS GmbH and the GLOBALG.A.P. Advisory Board – receive a free ticket for the event in Warsaw, Poland (10–12 September 2024) where their profiles and accomplishments will be given premium visibility.

The ultimate winners – one from each category – will be decided exclusively by voting from GLOBALG.A.P. SUMMIT 2024 attendees and will be announced during the evening event on 10 September. The three winners will be celebrated on stage and presented with an award to take home.

How to apply

The awards are open to producers, certification bodies, and retailers – with submissions accepted via summit2024.org from 10 April to 30 June 2024.

There are no entry fees and no pre-defined criteria for evaluation. Instead we encourage applicants to express their creativity through any means which best showcase the uniqueness and impact of their initiatives. This could be in the form of:  

• Videos: Sharing real-life stories, initiatives, or community involvement 

• Presentations: Demonstrating the impact of initiatives through data and visuals 

• Written narratives: Providing a detailed account that offers insights into strategies, challenges, and outcomes 

• Infographics: Creating compelling data visualizations that convey achievements, milestones, and community impact 

• Interactive exhibits: Developing interactive or virtual experiences that allow first-hand engagement with the essence of initiatives 

• Testimonials and endorsements: Including case studies and detailed feedback from community members, partners, or beneficiaries to emphasize the impact of the initiatives
