Who participates in a TWG?
TWG members are nominated by institutions or organizations based on their expertise and sectoral relevance, and following an approval process from Agraya GmbH, are appointed for terms of four years. Where possible, a representative balance of members from across relevant regional geographies is desired.
Each group may contain up to 16 members – including five from the retail/food service and five from the producer/supplier sectors, as well as six from certification bodies (CBs), academia, NGOs, or other industry stakeholders.
A representative from Agraya GmbH facilitates the functions of each TWG, and in addition, a member of the TAC also participates as an observer and contributor to support transparency and alignment. TWGs elect a chair and vice-chair from within the membership group every four years.
The TWGs replaced the former GLOBALG.A.P. technical committees in March 2026.
