GLOBALG.A.P. IT platform
The GLOBALG.A.P. IT platform is a framework of interconnecting tools that facilitate the worldwide implementation and verification of GLOBALG.A.P. certification. The platform consists of two systems – CertifierOS and Supply Chain Portal – and link up with the Certification Body Administration Tool.
How does the GLOBALG.A.P. IT platform work?

CBs must apply for approval to audit GLOBALG.A.P. standards and add-ons via CB-AT.
Individual farm and QMS auditors from approved CBs must be registered in CB-AT by uploading evidence of auditor qualifications and paying the auditor registration fee. Additional roles, such as audit reviewer or certification committee, may also be assigned via CB-AT.
Only GLOBALG.A.P. approved CBs who have registered qualified auditors in CB-AT are able to use specific functions in CertifierOS.

Upon registering in the GLOBALG.A.P. certification system, every producer is assigned a unique 13-digit GLOBALG.A.P. identification number (e.g., a GLOBALG.A.P. Number (GGN), GLOBALG.A.P. Chain of Custody Number (CoC), etc.) which is stored in the GLOBALG.A.P. Supply Chain Portal.
CBs are responsible for keeping data up to date based on where a producer is in their certification process, or according to complaint investigations.
Supply Chain Portal is the single source of truth for certification data.

CB auditors generate audit report templates – including the necessary smart forms (checklists) – for the relevant standard and/or add-on in CertifierOS.
Following the audit, which can also be conducted offline via the osapiens mobile app, the CB auditors finalize the audit report which is then shared with GLOBALG.A.P.
Only qualified auditors registered by GLOBALG.A.P. approved CBs can be assigned to conduct audits.

If a positive certification decision is made, the CB can issue the certificate in CertifierOS.
The producer’s certification status is now confirmed and visible in Supply Chain Portal.

To ensure that GLOBALG.A.P. certification remains trustworthy, all certificates can be verified in Supply Chain Portal using the unique ID number (e.g., GGN, CoC, etc.).
Verification of certification status can be done publicly – no login is necessary.
For supply chain stakeholders, additional data insight services can be provided via a GLOBALG.A.P. Bookmarking account, subject to a subscription fee.

The GLOBALG.A.P. database
With the GLOBALG.A.P. database you can check the validity of a GLOBALG.A.P. certificate or letter of conformance in real time – all you need is the GLOBALG.A.P. identification number.
Verify certification status
Supply Chain Portal
Supply Chain Portal is used to check the validity of a certificate in real time via a GLOBALG.A.P. identification number. This information is available to CBs, retailers, traders, supply chain stakeholders, and the public for transparency in the market. We also offer a bookmarking service that allows users to easily view and monitor the certification status of suppliers. Developed in partnership with osapiens, Supply Chain Portal will replace the GLOBALG.A.P. database on 1 April 2025.
Supply Chain Portal
Supply Chain Portal is an information bank of producers with certified production processes around the world.
Hosting the registration certification data of almost 200,000 producers in over 130 countries, the Supply Chain Portal is one of the largest online sources for validated farm data on responsible farming standards.
More than 190 GLOBALG.A.P. approved CBs around the world use it to register and manage their clients’ certification data.
Key functionalities:
Host producer registration data
Verify certification status using a unique 13-digit GLOBALG.A.P. identification number (a certificate or GLOBALG.A.P. identification number that cannot be found on the publicly available database is immediately considered invalid)
Link to traceability data in supply chains
FAQ – Supply Chain Portal
All certificates and letters of conformance can be publicly validated in Supply Chain Portal using the unique 13-digit GLOBALG.A.P. identification number.
This visible data depends on the data access rights for the specific standard or add-on and the access rights of the user.
For example, this may include:
Certificate holder name and company address
Certification/conformance status for GLOBALG.A.P. standards and add-ons
Certificate/letter of conformance validity
The certification body (CB) that conducted the audit/assessment
Country of production
Type of production
List of products
Please see our data access rules for further information.
An online certificate or letter of conformance contains information such as scope/product category, farm size/volumes, and validity period. This can be found by searching the unique 13-digit GLOBALG.A.P. identification number, and is visible to the public.
An audit report is generated through CertifierOS and contains detailed information about the inspection/audit/assessment itself, down to the level of individual principles and criteria. Audit reports are only visible to the certification body (CB), the producer, GLOBALG.A.P., and any approved observers. Audit reports are not shared with any other parties without the express permission of the producer(s) in question.
Please see our data access rules for further information.
The GLOBALG.A.P. document center contains comprehensive information on data access rules. Producers can control data access and privacy rights for audit reports, and the reports are not shared publicly or with third parties. This process is handled via your chosen certification body.

CertifierOS
CertifierOS is a tool to support certification bodies (CBs) in managing their producer master data and conducting GLOBALG.A.P. audits. It encompasses the necessary workflows and steps to follow good auditing practices, and can either be used directly through the GLOBALG.A.P. web interface or via a third-party approved software. Working in tandem with the Certification Body Administration Tool, CertifierOS is part of a complete chain of steps that support certification integrity. CertifierOS, developed in partnership with osapiens, will replace Audit Online Hub on 1 March 2025.
CertifierOS
CertifierOS is the digital hub for smarter audit reporting.
Digital checklists and audit reports are now common practice for on-farm audits, but the GLOBALG.A.P. certification system is unique in its approach as it does not mandate the use of a specific software for audits to GLOBALG.A.P. standards and add-ons.
With certified producers in over 130 countries, we understand that the needs of GLOBALG.A.P. approved CBs vary greatly and that there are many existing software solutions already in use.
CertifierOS therefore offers CBs flexibility through both the opportunity to submit audit data directly in the platform or to connect third-party audit management software via an API.
Key functionalities:
Create and manage producers and producer groups
Generate audit checklists
Submit audit reports
Create and manage certificates/letters of conformance
Modify or recertify certificates
Connect with audit management software (API required)
Conduct offline audits with the osapiens app
