Manage your suppliers the easy way

What is bookmarking?

GLOBALG.A.P. bookmarking is a service that supports supply chain management. Users can create a pool of “bookmarked” producers – assembled with the help of unique GLOBALG.A.P. identification numbers (e.g., GGNs) – to easily view and monitor the certification status of their suppliers in one place.

How it works

A selection of different fruits and vegetables

Save a list of producers to your customized bookmarking pool by uploading a spreadsheet list of your suppliers’ unique GLOBALG.A.P. identification numbers (e.g., GGNs) and the relevant products.

Your bookmarking list is then stored online to give you and your clients easy access to certification information from your list of bookmarked producers, eliminating the need for individual searches and saving you time.

What are GLOBALG.A.P. identification numbers and why are they useful?

GLOBALG.A.P. identification numbers are unique numbers given to producers and any other legal entities in the GLOBALG.A.P. certification system.

They are composed of a prefix (often referring to the relevant standard) and a 13-digit number separated by a space. For example, a GLOBALG.A.P. Number (GGN) is linked to a producer (related to Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) or Compound Feed Manufacturing (CFM) certificates), while a GLOBALG.A.P. Chain of Custody (CoC) Number is linked to a company with CoC certification (any activity related to the supply chain).

These numbers allow real-time verification of certification status in the GLOBALG.A.P. IT systems or via bookmarking services.

Which data is visible via bookmarking?

This visible data depends on the data access rules for the specific standard or add-on and the access rights of the bookmarking user.

For example, this may include:

  • Producer name

  • The certification body (CB) that conducted the audit

  • Certification/conformance status for GLOBALG.A.P. standards and add-ons

  • Country of production

  • Type of production

  • List of products

Please see our data access rules for further information.
