The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC), responsible for the technical overview of standard and add-on content, is now complete, with all 14 members confirmed.

GLOBALG.A.P. collaborates with a global network of industry experts and value chain stakeholders to ensure that our solutions are robust, realistic, and cost-efficient. The new stakeholder collaboration framework, announced in 2024, was designed to increase cross-sector participation, boost knowledge-sharing, and strengthen topic-specific input and technical expertise in the GLOBALG.A.P. certification system as our solutions evolve.

Key changes included the formation of a new Technical Advisory Committee (TAC). Established in September 2024, the TAC is responsible for providing scientific, technical, and market-related advice and recommendations for content development.

About the TAC

The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) supports the technical overview of standard and add-on content, covering a range of topics including legal compliance, food safety, environmental sustainability, social responsibility, industry recognition, certification methods, and supply chain transparency.

The TAC members work closely with our Research and Development Team and ensure that the output from technical working groups and focus groups aligns with our vision and mission.

Structurally, the TAC is composed of initially up to 14 members. This includes 12 members from industry – with equal representation covering the plants and aquaculture scopes, as well as buyers/traders/retailers and producers/suppliers – and two members from GLOBALG.A.P. approved certification bodies (CB). The members of the committee are appointed for a term of four years.

Chaired by an elected member of the TAC, the committee holds regular meetings to discuss the content and strategy of GLOBALG.A.P. solutions.
