Achieving GLOBALG.A.P. certification requires a clear understanding of the standards and their practical application. Our Registered Trainer program connects producers with independent farming experts who have been officially trained and approved by GLOBALG.A.P. to deliver accurate, up-to-date instruction. These experts turn complex requirements into actionable steps, supporting producers and other stakeholders in meeting certification goals efficiently and with confidence.

What is the Registered Trainer program?

The Registered Trainer program is a global network of agricultural professionals who have successfully completed official GLOBALG.A.P. training. To qualify, candidates must complete the required GLOBALG.A.P. Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) or in-house trainer training with a minimum score of 80% on each exam component.

Registered Trainers operate independently but are authorized to use official GLOBALG.A.P. training materials and are listed on the GLOBALG.A.P. website, making it easy for producers to find qualified support in their region.

Benefits for producers

Registered Trainers ensure that training is consistent with the latest GLOBALG.A.P. requirements, offering:

  • Accurate, authorized content based on GLOBALG.A.P. Academy materials

  • Guidance tailored to local production realities and languages

  • Flexible delivery options, including on-site and online sessions

This approach helps producers interpret standard requirements, prepare for audits, and implement standards more effectively.

As Alejandra Pistagnesi, Key Account Manager at AGRAYA GmbH explains: “The Registered Trainer program is an excellent resource for technical professionals who want to receive high-quality training and stay up to date with GLOBALG.A.P. developments. Registered Trainers are evaluated and recognized by GLOBALG.A.P., which gives them visibility and supports the promotion of their activities. At the same time, the program benefits both us and producers by ensuring that those delivering training truly have the knowledge and expertise required.”

A global network with local impact

The program currently includes nearly 300 Registered Trainers across more than 70 countries. Training is available in multiple languages, enabling producers everywhere to receive the same high-quality guidance adapted to their context. This helps ensure that GLOBALG.A.P. principles are consistently and effectively applied worldwide.

Capacity building activities are further strengthened through GLOBALG.A.P. TOUR stop events, which bring together industry stakeholders, producers, and Registered Trainers to share best practices and discuss the latest developments in a specific national or regional environment. These events not only provide valuable networking opportunities, but also give trainers direct access to new information that can be integrated into their training and consultancy work.

During the TOUR stop Costa Rica in July 2025, Marcela Ivankovich, a Registered Trainer, highlighted the value of these capacity-building programs: “The opportunity to interact with other Registered Trainers and to participate in ongoing education through GLOBALG.A.P. events give us access to the most recent, first-hand information. This updated perspective allows us to enrich our courses and consultancy services with the latest insights.”

With GLOBALG.A.P. certified producers active in more than 130 countries, this broad reach and active exchange of knowledge supports agricultural best practices and certification readiness around the world.

Connecting standards to practice

The Registered Trainer program serves as a vital link between GLOBALG.A.P.’s rigorous standards and the agricultural operations that implement them. By combining official training with local expertise, Registered Trainers provide producers with reliable, practical support that leads to stronger performance, smoother audits, and greater confidence in achieving certification.
