Connecting with the industry at FRUIT LOGISTICA 2025
From 5–7 February 2025, more than 91,000 professionals from the global fruit and vegetable trade gathered in Berlin, Germany, for FRUIT LOGISTICA 2025. Under the theme “Fruitful Connections,” this year’s event emphasized collaboration and meaningful partnerships in shaping the future of the industry. GLOBALG.A.P. was proud to contribute to these discussions, engaging with stakeholders and showcasing how assurance solutions empower farmers worldwide.
Shaping the conversation on smallholders
A key highlight of GLOBALG.A.P.’s presence at FRUIT LOGISTICA 2025 was a panel discussion focused on the vital role of smallholders in building a resilient and responsible food system. GLOBALG.A.P. Managing Director Dr. Elmé Coetzer-Boersma took to the stage with Janine Basso Lisboa, Project Manager at AgroDtech in Brazil, and Manal Saleh, Founder of Blue Moon LLC in Egypt to explore how responsible farming practices among smallholders can transform supply chains, ensuring long-term sustainability and market access.
Success stories shared by the panelists demonstrated the power of assurance solutions and training initiatives in bridging the gap between producers and markets. Reflecting on the discussion, Dr. Elmé Coetzer-Boersma shared: “Seeing success stories brought to life through video and hearing firsthand how smallholders are making progress was truly inspiring. This conversation sparked new ideas and conversations that will continue well beyond FRUIT LOGISTICA.”

Engaging with industry stakeholders
Throughout the fair, GLOBALG.A.P. experts welcomed visitors to our booth in Hall 27, reconnecting with industry partners and meeting new contacts interested in smart farm assurance solutions. Our team had insightful discussions on certification, sustainability, and the evolving needs of global food supply chains.
On 6 February, we hosted a networking event, bringing together partners and new connections for an open exchange of ideas and collaboration opportunities. The event reinforced the fair’s central theme—building meaningful partnerships to drive the industry forward.

Collaboration at the heart of the industry
To celebrate the importance of partnerships, GLOBALG.A.P. launched a social media campaign during the event, asking: “Why does collaboration matter in the global food supply chain?” The responses highlighted a shared passion for empowering farmers and fostering trust among stakeholders.
This theme resonated strongly with representatives of the GGN label, who were also present at the fair. With a growing presence of 127 labelled products and 220 farm profiles for the fruit and vegetable sector on GGN.org, it was a great opportunity to connect with stakeholders from around the world and discuss the future of transparent, responsible agriculture.
