GLOBALG.A.P. representatives Roberta Anderson and Rebecca Anderson with Natalie Dyenson (IFPA Chief Regulatory and Food Safety Officer) at the GLOBALG.A.P. booth at the 2024 IFPA Global Produce Floral Show in Atlandta, Georgia.
Angelo Lazo, Regional TKAM Coordinator for LATAM, emphasized the value of in-person connections: “The chance to meet face-to-face with both familiar and new stakeholders is extremely valuable. It’s a unique opportunity to learn about their successes and challenges when trading to the North American market.”
The GLOBALG.A.P. team noted the industry’s growing attention to environmentally sustainable and socially responsible practices throughout the supply chain all the way back to the farm. GLOBALG.A.P. North America President Roberta Anderson was honored to join an in-person stakeholder engagement meeting hosted by IFPA and the Consumer Goods Forum’s Sustainable Supply Chain Initiative (SSCI) on 16 October. She spoke on a panel that brought together sustainability experts to discuss the landscape of buyer requirements and global sustainability standards, including harmonization initiatives that can streamline farm-level sustainability reporting and strengthen audit integrity.

Conversations during the show also focused on critical regulatory developments, including the FDA’s Food Traceability Rule knoan as FSMA 204, effective since January 2023, with compliance expected by January 2026. The industry is already adapting its traceability systems to meet requirements. This topic will remain a priority throughout 2025.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us at the IFPA Global Produce and Floral Show. Your engagement enriched discussions on regulatory and market requirements, for food safety, sustainability and traceability, making the event a resounding success.
