As the new year begins, GLOBALG.A.P. is doubling down on its efforts to consult as many stakeholders as possible on the revision of GLOBALG.A.P. standards.

Hundreds of stakeholders have already taken part in the World Consultation Tour (WCT), and we have received over 1000 comments on the first drafts which were published last year. This feedback has been evaluated and used to create the second draft of version updates. Now it is time to return to stakeholders with a renewed request for feedback on the revised versions.

The second public consultation phase is open until 31 January 2021.

As part of the second feedback phase, GLOBALG.A.P. also invites you to comment on the first draft of the Compound Feed Manufacturing standard update which was not yet available in the first phase.

You are invited to provide your feedback on the draft versions of the control points and compliance criteria for the following topics:

Draft 1

  • Compound feed manufacturing

Draft 2:

  • Flowers and ornamentals

  • Aquaculture (finfish, crustaceans, molluscs, seaweed)

  • Fruit and vegetables (greenhouse production)

  • Environmental sustainability for crops

  • Food safety for crops

These documents are open for comment until 31 January 2021.

During the public consultation phase, you can offer your feedback in 3 ways:

  • Comment on the draft documents online

  • Take part in a live WCT session to voice your feedback directly to GLOBALG.A.P.

  • E-mail your written feedback to publiccomments@globalgap.org

You can also volunteer to participate in mock audits in May/June 2021 that will be set up to test the auditability of the standard later this year. More information on the procedure will be published in February.

A third and final public consultation phase will also run simultaneously, at which point all modules will be available in a final draft form.

GLOBALG.A.P. thanks all stakeholders for their continued engagement and input in this process. Your comments are critical in shaping version 6.
