Dr. Elmé Coetzer-Boersma and Markus Philipp remain at the helm as managing directors following Dr. Kristian Moeller’s resignation to pursue a new endeavor

Cologne, Germany (17 May 2023) – Managing directors Elmé Coetzer-Boersma and Markus Philipp, both appointed in 2021, will remain in their roles after Kristian Moeller’s departure, effective 31 May 2023.

Moeller’s decision to step down from his roles as managing director at GLOBALG.A.P. c/o FoodPLUS GmbH and president of GLOBALG.A.P. North America Inc. follows more than 20 years of promoting responsible farming practices worldwide through the development of renowned farm assurance solutions.

Starting in June, Moeller will instead devote his time to a new project at the EHI Retail Institute, parent company of FoodPLUS GmbH, setting up a grievance mechanism system to meet the requirements of Germany’s recently passed Supply Chain Due Diligence Act.

Coetzer-Boersma and Philipp have affirmed that they remain strongly aligned with the company’s vision, mission, purpose, and core values and will continue to promote collaboration with stakeholders to ensure that GLOBALG.A.P. solutions meet industry requirements and remain at the forefront of safe food production and responsible agricultural practices.

With over 20 years of experience at GLOBALG.A.P. c/o FoodPLUS GmbH, Coetzer-Boersma has been instrumental in driving the company’s mission to promote safe and responsible farming worldwide. She is a staunch advocate for good agricultural practices that prioritize food safety, environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and economic viability.

Philipp has more than 20 years of experience in management, strategic business development, and compliance. He has been committed to GLOBALG.A.P. c/o FoodPLUS GmbH for 10 years and is well versed in the business development of agricultural solutions.

“We are thankful to Kristian for his years of service and look forward to crossing paths with him in his new role,” says Coetzer-Boersma. “Looking to the future, this transition presents an opportunity for us to come together and continue pursuing our mission with renewed vigor. We remain committed to tackling industry challenges and are well poised to make further progress with our sustainability solutions. Thanks to the launch of IFA v6 and GRASP v2 last year, we are well on our way to offering smart solutions for key issues such as energy efficiency, biodiversity, and risk mitigation in social areas.”
