Floral Chain Group, an integrated network of innovative companies in the floriculture sector, comprises more than 700 direct collaborators in Ecuador alone. The group prioritizes the safety, well-being, and professional development of its workers, including access to free health services, transportation, food, and training programs. Floral Chain Group has now underlined the importance of workers’ well-being by achieving full compliance with the GLOBALG.A.P. Risk Assessment on Social Practice (GRASP).

Over 20 years of floriculture excellence

Currently made up of 15 companies in the floriculture sector from several countries, the group was first established in 1998 by the Ecuadorian producer and exporter farm Flores Latitud Cero. Always focused on high-quality products, environmental responsibility, and innovative production methods, Floral Chain Group is vertically integrated and manages all its processes from research and development, breeding, propagation, rooting, production, and marketing, to global export and distribution.

The group’s main brands are the Hypericum Romance series, the Eryngium Dynamite series, and the Veronica Victory series, that are designed to meet the demand for floral creativity through exclusive breeding and direct farm connections. With operations in Ecuador, Ethiopia, the Netherlands, and the United States, the diverse production areas make it possible to grow unique and high-quality products.

Managing farm-level social risk

GRASP is GLOBALG.A.P.’s farm-level social management tool for global supply chains. Applicable to a corresponding scope of the Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA), there are now over 110,000 GRASP assessed producers – representing over 50% of GLOBALG.A.P. certified production processes – in almost 100 countries around the world.

Floral Chain Group commented: “We are very proud to have achieved full compliance with GRASP, and we are sure that our products will enjoy greater recognition worldwide, as well as greater reach to new market segments.”
