Don’t miss our new-format panel discussion at Fruit Logistica 2024

From 7–9 February 2024, GLOBALG.A.P. and GGN label representatives will once again be on-site at Fruit Logistica, the annual fresh produce trade fair that is a key event in the calendars of all industry stakeholders.

You can meet the experts at our booth (F-80) in hall 27 for the duration of the trade fair, but don’t miss our highlight event taking place on 8 February: a new-format panel discussion.

Panel discussion to highlight key issues related to responsible water management

In a departure from our previous press conferences and news updates, GLOBALG.A.P. c/o FoodPLUS GmbH will be hosting a panel discussion for the first time at Fruit Logistica.

The panel discussion, which will take place at 3 p.m. on Thursday, 8 February, will focus on the topic of water in agriculture – specifically the challenge of “addressing responsible water management in high water risk regions”.

Moderated by Chris White, Managing Director of Fruitnet Media International, and featuring a wide range of stakeholders on the panel, the new-format discussion is expected to draw a diverse audience.

Key topics will include: 

• Water withdrawal and sustainable watershed governance, water distribution and measurement systems, and wastewater management. 

• Assessing urgent water risks and associated environmental pressure points, including the protection of at-risk water resources.  

• Identifying methods of raising awareness on water issues, from producer training to sector benchmarking and harmonization initiatives that increase accessibility for farms and increase visibility for supply chain stakeholders.  

• Discussing the role of certification and consumer labeling in facilitating, implementing, and demonstrating responsible water use at farm level.
