This news article was edited on 12 December 2023 to update information on the validity of GRASP v1.3-1-i. Read our latest news article for a full overview of standard and add-on applicability from January 2024.

With the new year fast approaching, the GLOBALG.A.P. Secretariat is continuing to provide key updates and information on planned developments as we enter 2024. Based on extensive stakeholder feedback, we would like to communicate two key decisions from November that we trust will support a smoother transition for our stakeholders to IFA v6 and its add-ons.

Firstly, as the process of Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) version 6 GFS recognition and the subsequent transition period is expected to continue through the first half of 2024, the applicability of the latest GLOBALG.A.P. Risk Assessment on Social Practice (GRASP) version 2 add-on has been extended.

GRASP v2 will now be enabled for use in conjunction with IFA v5.4-1-GFS (in addition to IFA v6 Smart) until IFA v6 GFS becomes obligatory. This will enable our stakeholders to experience the benefits of the new and improved version of GRASP without delay, regardless of which edition of IFA they choose. GRASP v2 becomes obligatory for use with IFA v6 Smart on 1 January 2024.

GRASP v1.3-1-i will remain available for use with IFA v5.4-1-GFS until IFA v6 GFS becomes obligatory to provide maximum flexibility for stakeholders during upcoming audit preparations.

Secondly, producer fees will not change during this time of transition.  Instead, the producer fees for IFA v5.2 and GRASP v1.3 will remain in place for IFA v6 and GRASP v2 until a revised fee structure is implemented with the consideration of stakeholder feedback. The published fee tables will be updated accordingly.
