Enrique's Statement

Currently our non-exporting producers and suppliers only comply with the basic regulations established by the authorities of our country, however, we see that the requirements of a certification such as GLOBALG.A.P. can generate greater confidence and wellness in our consumers and greater commitment to responsible and sustainable management by our suppliers-farmers. In this sense, we believe that from a position as a Board member I can contribute to an improvement of the current standards and raise awareness about its benefits to other producers so that they adopt GLOBALG.A.P. certification.

Professional & Educational Background

Over the past 20 years, I have held a range of managerial positions in the fields of the purchases, production, and marketing of perishables at the retail industry (Cencosud Perú y Supermercados Peruanos) and companies in the fast food sector. I joined Cencosud Retail Perú S.A. as Meat & Poultry Business Manager in 2010 and since 2012 I am in charge of all the perishables divisions.
I am graduated from the National Agrarian University as Food Industry Engineer, earned an MBA from the PAD School of Business at the University of Piura, and completed the Program for Management Development at the University of the Pacific in Lima.
