What we offer
GLOBALG.A.P. IT systems
The GLOBALG.A.P. IT systems are a framework of interconnecting tools that facilitate the worldwide implementation and verification of GLOBALG.A.P. certification. The four core systems are the GLOBALG.A.P. database, Validation Service, Audit Online Hub, and the Certification Body Administration Tool.
Verify certification status
The GLOBALG.A.P. database and Validation Service
The GLOBALG.A.P. database and Validation Service are used to check the validity of a certificate in real time via a GLOBALG.A.P. identification number. For the new generation of smarter audits, GLOBALG.A.P. approved certification bodies (CBs) can also generate online certificates and letters of conformance directly in Validation Service.
Validate a certificate
With the GLOBALG.A.P. database you can check the validity of a GLOBALG.A.P. certificate or letter of conformance in real time – all you need is the GLOBALG.A.P. identification number.
How do the GLOBALG.A.P. IT systems work together?
CBs must apply for approval to audit GLOBALG.A.P. standards and add-ons via CB-AT.
Individual farm and QMS auditors from approved CBs must be registered in CB-AT by uploading evidence of auditor qualifications and paying the auditor registration fee. Additional roles, such as audit reviewer or certification committee may also be assigned via CB-AT.
Only GLOBALG.A.P. approved CBs who have registered qualified auditors in CB-AT are able to use specific functions in further IT systems such as Audit Online Hub and Validation Service.
Upon registering in the GLOBALG.A.P. certification system, every producer is assigned a unique 13-digit GLOBALG.A.P. identification number (e.g., a GLOBALG.A.P. Number (GGN), GLOBALG.A.P. Chain of Custody Number (CoC), etc.) which is stored in the GLOBALG.A.P. database.
The CBs are responsible for keeping the data up to date based on where a producer is in their certification process, or according to complaint investigations.
The GLOBALG.A.P. database is the single source of truth for certification data.
CB auditors generate audit report templates – including the necessary checklists – for the relevant standard and/or add-on in AOH.
Following the audit, the CB auditors finalize the audit report which is shared with the GLOBALG.A.P. Secretariat via AOH.
Only qualified auditors registered by GLOBALG.A.P. approved CBs can be assigned to conduct audits.
If a positive certification decision is made, this information is transmitted from AOH to Validation Service.
The producer’s certification status is now confirmed and visible in Validation Service and the GLOBALG.A.P. database.
As part of the closed loop system, certificates can only be generated in Validation Service if sufficient corresponding audit data is available in AOH. It is not possible to generate certificates in Validation Service where audit data is missing or invalid.
To ensure that GLOBALG.A.P. certification remains trustworthy, all certificates can be verified in either the GLOBALG.A.P. database or Validation Service using the unique ID number (e.g., GGN, CoC, etc.).
Verification of certification status can be done publicly – no login is necessary.
For supply chain stakeholders, additional data insight services can be provided via a GLOBALG.A.P. Bookmarking account, subject to a subscription fee.

GLOBALG.A.P. database
The GLOBALG.A.P.database is an information bank of producers with certified production processes around the world.
Hosting the registration certification data of almost 200,000 producers in over 130 countries, the GLOBALG.A.P. database is one of the largest online sources for validated farm data on responsible farming standards.
More than 180 GLOBALG.A.P. approved CBs around the world use it to register and manage their clients’ certification data.
Key functionalities:
Host producer registration data
Verify certification status using a unique 13-digit GLOBALG.A.P. identification number (a certificate or GLOBALG.A.P. identification number that cannot be found on the publicly available database is immediately considered invalid)
Link to traceability data in supply chains
Validation Service
The smart way to issue certificates and letters of conformance
Validation Service is a tool that GLOBALG.A.P. approved CBs use to create and issue certificates and letters of conformance for GLOBALG.A.P. standards and add-ons.
Certificates and letters of conformance can also be found via a public search to check the validity of a GLOBALG.A.P. claim. Currently in use for a limited selection of standards and add-ons, Validation Service is being further developed for our new era of smart farm assurance solutions.
Key functionalities:
Generate uniform certificates or letters of conformance based on the audit data submitted in AOH (CBs only, login required)
Verify certification status using a GLOBALG.A.P. identification number (Smart audits only, no login required)

Audit Online Hub
Audit Online Hub (AOH) is a tool to support certification bodies (CBs) in the management of GLOBALG.A.P. audits and submission of audit data according to our smart certification process. It encompasses the necessary workflows and steps to follow good auditing practices and can either be used directly through the GLOBALG.A.P. web interface or via a third-party approved software. Working in tandem with Validation Service and the Certification Body Administration Tool, AOH is part of a complete chain of steps that support certification integrity.
Audit Online Hub
AOH is the digital hub for smarter audit reporting.
Digital checklists and audit reports are now common practice for on-farm audits, but the GLOBALG.A.P. certification system is unique in its approach as it does not mandate the use of a specific software for audits to GLOBALG.A.P. standards and add-ons.
With certified producers in over 130 countries, we understand that the needs of GLOBALG.A.P. approved CBs vary greatly and that there are many existing software solutions already in use.
AOH therefore offers CBs flexibility through both the opportunity to submit audit data directly in the platform or to connect third-party audit management software to AOH via an API.
Since 2020, GLOBALG.A.P. approved CBs have been required to submit at least a portion of their audit reports via AOH. The tool is now at the center of GLOBALG.A.P. certification in the smart era, and all audit reports for Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) v6 and beyond will require the use of AOH.
Key functionalities:
Generate audit checklists
Submit audit reports
Communicate certification decisions to the GLOBALG.A.P. Secretariat
Connect with audit management software (API required)
Launch Audit Online Hub (log-in required)
