GLOBALG.A.P. is embarking on its most comprehensive standard revision process ever, and you should be part of it!
Version 6 of the Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) standard aims to offer a flexible and simplified certification experience, maximizing the ever-growing capabilities for digitalization in the auditing and certification processes, and including more elements of customized, science-based risk assessments. Now is your chance to have your say on version 6 that will be published in 2022.

Public Consultation Periods

The GLOBALG.A.P.  technical committees and  focus groups have evaluated the current version (v5) and approved structural changes to simplify the standard. With these results, the first draft for public consultation was published for the first official public consultation period from May to July 2020. The technical experts are currently working on the incorporation of feedback to publish the second draft for public consultation in October for the second public consultation period from mid-November 2020 to mid-January 2021, and later a period during which you can participate in field trials to evaluate the standard’s auditability.

Public consultation on version 6 of the IFA standard is based on documents developed by the GLOBALG.A.P.  technical committees and  focus groups, and supported by all stakeholder input during the World Consultation Tour webinars and written feedback received via e-mail to  publiccomments@globalgap.org
The first period of public consultation on standard documents and control points and compliance criteria took place between May and July 2020. Results are now feeding into the second draft, which will be openly consulted between mid/end November 2020 until mid/end January 2021. Currently, documents on general regulations, the data driven approach and integrated pest management are open for commenting and the subject of discussion in World Consultation Tour events.
